    Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the students, staff, and programs of the Schuylkill Valley School District. We are very thankful that you have expressed an interest in volunteering in our district. 

    The following documents must be on file with the District prior to the first day of volunteer service: 

    • Volunteer application ("HR/Careers" page and scroll to vacancies section)
    • Child Abuse Clearance or signed Affidavit & Agreement AND PA Child Abuse History Clearance application 
    • FBI Clearance or Schuylkill Valley School District Volunteer FBI Clearance Exemption Form 
    • State Police Clearance
    • Mandated Reporter Acknowledgement  
    • Volunteer Acknowledgement

     

    Submit all forms to Human Resources via any of the following methods:

    Volunteer Clearance Instructions** READ FIRST **

    Affidavit & Agreement - Needed if a quick start date for volunteering is necessary

    FBI Clearance Exemption Form - If you have been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period AND you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.

    If you have not been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period but you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history AND you have obtained a Federal criminal history report (FBI clearance) at any time since establishing residency then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.

    FBI Clearance Exemption Form - MINORS - If you have been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period AND you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.

    If you have not been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period but you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history AND you have obtained a Federal criminal history report (FBI clearance) at any time since establishing residency then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.
