    Clearance Instructions

    Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the staff, students, and programs of the Schuylkill Valley School District. We are very thankful that you have expressed an interest in volunteering in our district. 

    The following documents must be on file with the District prior to the first day of volunteer service: 

    • Report of Criminal History from the Pennsylvania State Police 
    • Completed Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance or signed Affidavit & Agreement AND PA Child Abuse History Clearance application; 
    • Either a Schuylkill Valley School District FBI Clearance Exemption Form or a FBI clearance registration ID (fingerprinting registration number) 
    • Signed Mandated Reporter Acknowledgement  
    • Signed Volunteer Acknowledgement

    Clearance Instructions  - ** READ FIRST **

    Affidavit & Agreement - Needed if a quick start date for volunteering is necessary

    FBI Clearance Exemption Form - If you have been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period AND you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.

    If you have not been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period but you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history AND you have obtained a Federal criminal history report (FBI clearance) at any time since establishing residency then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.

    FBI Clearance Exemption Form - MINORS - If you have been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period AND you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.

    If you have not been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period but you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history AND you have obtained a Federal criminal history report (FBI clearance) at any time since establishing residency then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.
