    Welcome Panthers and Guests!

"A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face. It is one of the few havens remaining where a person's mind can get both provocation and privacy."
    ~Edward P. Morgan

    Library Information
Welcome to the Schuylkill Valley High School Library. It is the place to visit for recreational reading, homework, quiet reflection, and serious research as well as  for those in search of a quiet place not to be disturbed as you take a break from your busy day. You are welcome from study hall, lunch, after school and during Activity Period. The library subscribes to a wide-variety of magazines and newspapers for leisure reading as well as personal growth. A 14,000-volume collection of current fiction and non-fiction is regularly evaluated for its relevance to the curriculum as well as to the personal interests of adolescents. We also have great wifi , Chromebook chargers, and headphones and earbuds for scholarly and leisure use. Take advantage of the resources, complete your work, charge your Chromebook, and when you are done, listen to your tunes and read a book or magazine!
