Over the course of my teaching career, I have had the opportunity to teach 20th Century American History, Economics, Government and AP U.S. Government and Politics at the high school level, and Ancient Civilizations as an 8th grade teacher. This year, the opportunity to teach U.S. History at the middle school level after several years of teaching Ancient Civilizations is incredibly exciting!

Social studies is my favorite subject because it is so much fun to bring to life!  I enjoy finding new, innovative, and interactive ways to make my class engaging. As an advocate of project-based learning and experiential learning, I love developing ways to help students "learn by doing."

Prior to embarking on my teaching career, I earned a Bachelor's of Science degree at Radford University in Social Studies Education and German. I also earned a Master's of Arts degree in American History at Millersville University. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in School Counseling. When I'm not teaching, I love to spend time with my family. My husband and I have a daughter, Everly, and a Wheaten Terrier named Leo. My family can often be found playing golf, traveling, biking, or taking family walks.
