Mission Statement of the Schuylkill Valley School Counselors
The mission of the Schuylkill Valley School District School Counseling Program is to have the district counselors serve as liaisons between parents, teachers, students, administrators, and community agencies concerning the child's academic and social/emotional development as related to school success. We strive to teach students skills and tools to be successful in the areas of social/emotional, academic, and career domains. These areas are focused on by utilizing consultation, individual counseling, small group counseling, conflict resolution, and career exploration development. The overarching goal is to assist students in learning how to become functional involved members of society.
