It is the mission of the Schuylkill Valley School District to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which each student is challenged to think, question, and create. With the cooperation of parents and the community, we will prepare our students to be responsible and contributing members of society.
About Us
At Schuylkill Valley Elementary School, we strive to provide an environment where children can become lifelong learners. Our staff members regularly gather, analyze, and utilize data to inform instruction for our students. In addition to our core curriculum in language arts, math, science, and social studies, our students receive instruction in music, art, computer, physical education, and library. Students in fourth grade also have the opportunity to participate in band and chorus. We have a daily WIN time (What I Need), which provides academic intervention in reading and math for our students as part of RtII. Our Title I reading program is a strong component of our intervention plan.
