Mr. Phil Krause was the president of the Schuylkill Valley Class of 1966 and a District III and PIAA State Track & Field Champion in the Triple Jump that set a new State record. In 1965, he placed first in the District III Long Jump, first in the District III 880 relay, second in the PIAA State 880 relay and fourth in the PIAA State Long Jump. He is a 1970 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in liberal arts and M.Ed. in education. While attending Penn State, Phil participated in intercollegiate track and field. Phil worked at Bloomsburg State College, ultimately as director of Admissions, then assistant to the vice president for Academic Affairs. He had faculty rank of assistant professor with Faculty Emeritus status. Mr. Krause coached “jumpers” as assistant coach of the Bloomsburg State College track and field team where two jumpers finished as runners-up, clearing 7’ in the High Jump at NCAA Division II Nationals.
As a licensed nursing home administrator for 30 years, Phil developed, owned, and operated nursing and personal care homes in Shenandoah, Pittsburgh, Pottsville, and Pine Grove, PA. He served as a member of numerous professional, educational, civic and business Boards of Directors, most recently, the Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation in Schuylkill County. Mr. Krause currently serves to grow the Great Commission locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally as a member of a local fellowship and the Gideons International. Residing in Lebanon, he is the husband of Kim Krause, father to Katie and Kelly, and grandfather of Emrie and Asher.
